Ointment for pain and bruises

Inflammation, redness, swelling and pain are the body’s own ways of protecting itself after an injury. The plants used in this ointment have anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-oedema properties to relieve acute pain without losing awareness of your injury.

This ointment can be used on demand, as often as needed. It is best applied with a massage that generates warmth, so the product penetrates the skin more easily and the active principles reach the bloodstream more quickly.

It can be used for any musculoskeletal or joint pain, sprains, twists and knocks, and for rheumatic conditions in general (lumbago, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, arthritis…).

The diet should be light and detoxifying, to help the blood clear toxins, and rich in minerals such as calcium and magnesium (dairy, nettles, cabbages, pulses, nuts) to support bone remineralisation. Care of the injury can also be supported and reinforced by taking Diatomaceous Earth and/or Magnesium Oil, both packaged by Esencias de Liébana.

This formulation is made with the Moon in Aries or Scorpio, as their ruler is Mars. Martial force is the one at work in inflammatory processes, so bringing the preparation into rhythm with the astrological moment helps to balance that force and thus restore the inflammatory process.

50 mL jar.

  • Oil macerate of rue, rosemary, cypress and comfrey.
  • Handcrafted tinctures of rosemary, sarsaparilla, helichrysum and birch.
  • Essential oils of rosemary, mint, pine and cajeput.
  • Spagyric tincture of granite.

*Ingredients from certified organic farming, or uncertified but from known sources that respect our environment. Plants gathered by hand in unpolluted areas of the Liébana Valley.

Apply to the affected area and massage gently until all the product has been absorbed. It can be used as often as needed.

If the pain is persistent, you can apply a generous amount of product to a gauze, place it over the affected area and bandage it, so that the product is absorbed little by little over a longer period.

If there is severe inflammation, I recommend a clay poultice (mix water and clay into a firm paste), applying a thick layer of the paste over the injury, wrapping it in cling film and leaving it to work for an hour. Then clean the area and apply this ointment.
