Nourishing cream for hands and feet.
I made this cream for my neighbours’ working hands, hands damaged by contact with earth, wood and stone… hands from Liébana.
A cream with “body” and a thick texture, penetrating and comfortable to apply. It leaves a pleasant, comforting feeling of “cushioned skin”, as if the skin were wrapped in another, much thicker layer that protects and shelters it from the outside.
Thanks to my neighbour Carlos, who with great kindness and wisdom, sitting on the bench in his kitchen, taught me when and how to gather elder bark (“saugo”, as they call it here). He shared a little piece of his story with me, a little piece of himself.
One of its components is greater celandine tincture, whose chelidonic acid and alkaloids help to lighten skin blemishes, are active against the virus that causes skin warts and soften calluses.
This is a living product and every batch is unique.
50 mL glass jar
- Oil macerate of elder bark (sp. Sambucus nigra).
- Shea butter.
- Beeswax.
- Handcrafted tincture of aloe (sp. Aloe vera), helichrysum (sp. Helichrysum stoechas), benzoin (sp. Styrax benzoin), arzolla (sp. Centaurea lagascana), willow bark (sp. Salix alba) and greater celandine (sp. Chelidonium majus).
- “Magnesium oil” (from sea water).
- Essential oils of marjoram, cedar and cajeput.
*Ingredients from certified organic farming, or uncertified but from known sources that respect our environment. *All the botanicals have been gathered by hand in the Liébana Valley, with respect and gratitude, following the biodynamic lunar calendar.
- I recommend using this cream at night, once the day is over and you are going to sleep, so that any product left on the skin is absorbed while you rest. The aim is to nourish the feet and hands well overnight, so there is no need to apply more during the day.
- A massage will help the product penetrate better.
- For good results on the feet, I advise applying a generous amount and covering them with socks.
