Human head lice repellent lotion.
Infestation by head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) is one of the most common parasitic infestations in humans worldwide. Traditionally, the main method for controlling head lice has been chemical treatment based on a wide range of synthetic neurotoxic insecticides. The excessive and repeated use of these products has led to the emergence of resistant lice populations.
Many studies have demonstrated, in vitro, the effectiveness of certain plants and their essential oils against this parasite.
Drawing on some of these studies and applying spagyric principles, I have created this formula which does not kill lice but, when applied consistently, acts as an effective repellent. The essential oils dissolve into the natural oils of the scalp, creating an aromatic barrier that is highly unattractive to lice.

- Thyme hydrosol (Thymus mastichina)
- Sea water
- Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) macerated in sulfite-free apple cider vinegar
- Artisanal garlic tincture
- Essential oils of oregano, rosemary, lemon, eucalyptus, clove, cinnamon, tea tree, and lavender
*Ingredients from certified organic agriculture or from trusted and environmentally respectful sources.
*All botanicals are hand-harvested in the Liébana Valley, following the biodynamic lunar calendar, with respect and gratitude.
- Shake well before use.
- Apply to dry hair, directly onto the roots, focusing on key areas (behind the ears, along the front hairline, and on the crown). Use half a dropper for each area.
- Gently massage the scalp.
- Apply daily for best results.
