Sweat is mostly water, together with small amounts of other substances such as urea, cholesterol, salts and fats. So the answer to why sweat smells is not found in its components, but in the bacteria and yeasts living on the skin: it is these microorganisms that are responsible for the strong smell, because as they break down sweat and dead skin cells they produce malodorous compounds, specifically ammonia molecules, fatty acids and sulphur compounds.
This deodorant respects the skin of our most intimate areas (armpits and pubic area), protects them from infection and neutralises strong odours without irritating. Kombucha vinegar gives the product its acidity, with a final pH of 4. This pH supports the development of the microbiota of both the woman’s vagina and the man’s glans. It also provides bacteria of the Lactobacillus genus, the predominant population in genital mucosa. If the microbiota is respected and not attacked, it is harder for pathogenic microorganisms to proliferate.
St John’s wort oil is an excellent anti-inflammatory for the skin and especially for mucous membranes, and it is also healing and antiseptic. The blend of essential oils has been designed to neutralise bacteria and, in particular, to prevent the growth of fungi such as Candida albicans.
It is recommended for inserting and removing the menstrual cup, as it helps the process and avoids a good deal of discomfort. It can be used before and after sexual intercourse, keeping the practice hygienic. This product can accompany, topically, the treatment of candidiasis, cystitis, urethritis, vaginitis, vulvitis, vaginal dryness and so on.
This deodorant does not block natural perspiration: it works by neutralising the body bacteria that break down and cause odour. Its effectiveness may vary from person to person, depending on individual sensitivity and skin type.
