Seasonal Facial Toner
Toner is used to close the pores and return the skin to its balanced state after cleansing.
Toning therefore provides a vasoconstrictive, soothing, antiseptic and astringent action.
This toner is composed mainly of hydrosols, aqueous solutions saturated with aromatic principles (hydrolat + essential oil). I obtain them by column distillation of the plants and flowers I gather in my surroundings, in the Liébana Valley, in each season of the year. They contain around 5% aromatic molecules as well as numerous water-soluble components from the plant. These are ionically charged, “living” waters with a great capacity to penetrate the skin (they balance the skin’s pH and stimulate cell function).
To this toner I add a concentration of lactic acid ferment, which helps cell renewal thanks to its exfoliating effect. It is also a natural astringent and gives our skin a pH that favours the health of our dermobiota (the skin’s microbiota).
Once the toner has been applied, the face is ready for a nourishing cream.
This is a living product and every batch is unique.
