Sun Cream
I wanted to make this cream so that we can enjoy the sun, especially in summer. An “all-terrain” cream that could stand up to that blazing star.
To everyone who has asked me for it, here is this product, in line with the principles of natural and organic cosmetics.
HAPPY SUMMER!
NOTE: the protection factor of a sun cream indicates how much longer a cream extends the skin’s natural defences before a person starts to burn. We can therefore use a natural sun cream, taking care to reapply it more often if our skin requires it.
Here are the details.
SHEA BUTTER is a powerful cell regenerator; it is very nourishing, moisturising and softening, and helps protect the skin from UVB and UVA radiation. This property is enhanced by sesame oil, which contains substances with antioxidant power (sesamol, sesamolin and lecithin).
COCONUT OIL is very nourishing and restores elasticity to the skin; it forms a protective film and is ideal for tanning.
RASPBERRY SEED OIL is rich in vitamin E in the alpha and gamma tocopherol forms (the most active form of vitamin E), beta-carotenes, essential fatty acids and ellagic acid (an exceptional source of powerful anti-cancer molecules that promote natural death in cancer cells without harming the others), a great antioxidant offered by nature.
BEESWAX is present in most Esencias de Liébana products. Obtained from the hives of Miel Vallestrechu, this jewel cleanses the dermis, softens and feeds it, preventing skin ageing.
BILBERRY mother tincture from the San Glorio pass: this component helps strengthen collagen thanks to its anthocyanin content and neutralises free radicals, preventing cell oxidation.
Mother tincture of ARZOLLA and CALENDULA, which contain saponins, gums and mucilage. These substances have a great moisturising capacity and stimulate fibroblasts, the cells that repair damaged tissue, as well as the formation of hyaluronic acid, providing elasticity.
CARROT SEED ESSENTIAL OIL is one of those offering the highest protection factor (38-40), while also helping to combat acne, rosacea and skin blemishes, and is a magnificent cell regenerator.
The essential oils of lavender, santolina and chamomile are excellent against burns and provide a soothing sensation after sun exposure.

How to sunbathe responsibly and get all its benefits.
- Find your skin PHOTOTYPE on the profile @danielaandre.toxic_expert, in the BASIC EXPOSURE TABLE WITHOUT SUNBLOCK for the relevant month. Your phototype is the one matching your skin tone in WINTER.
- That table gives the time you can be in the sun WITHOUT PROTECTION.
- Once that time has passed you can apply this sun cream and go back into the sun for the time corresponding to your PHOTOTYPE, watching and feeling your skin to judge whether you can stay a little longer.
- In JULY and AUGUST, between 12.00 and 17.00, it is best to be in the sun ONLY once and for the time the table recommends for that part of the day. Afterwards, cover your skin with fabric (cotton, linen, silk…) or stay in the shade.
- Protect children properly. Do not leave them in the sun unsupervised. My personal recommendation is that children aged 0 to 7 should not be in the sun between 12.00 and 17.00 in summer.
